A Google image search for "sandwich building" with no context whatsoever. What are these people up to?
This is our second-to-last Rock Show of the semester, and we've come up with a few Rock Show Blocks that you're certain to find entertaining. We'll be taking a dip into the world of Southern Soul, and then taking a page from the David Byrne playbook and putting together two complementary blocks: Songs About Buildings and Songs About Food. Who knows what else we will do. At Rock Show's heart is such spontaneity, even I cannot predict, though I'm guessing it will be A Few More Songs To Round Out The Hour.

Worked late and feeling a wee bit hopeless about work right now. Maybe some Rock Show will take the edge off.
ReplyDeleteMike, you're on the phone during a song?! Shocking truths of Rock Show revealed!
ReplyDeleteIn case you hadn't gathered it from the Mike-only opener to this evening's show, the fact that I had the mic on just then when Chris called me on my cell (to say he was running a few minutes late) has probably alerted you to the wonderful news that Chris will be here shortly ;)
ReplyDeleteJust checked. He's on Friday @ 10. Not too late to get involved.
ReplyDeleteFriday at 10? I imagine that -- what with all the people who will be camped out the night before & queuing up around the block the day of -- this event will likely be indistinguishable from Doorbusters at Best Buy.
ReplyDeleteFun fact-- Pete now know half of the words to Love Shack. We danced.
ReplyDeleteChris says: "Woo-hoo! Success!"
ReplyDeleteYou guys are right about Love Shack providing a bit of energy, and I had a bit of a laugh at that last part.
ReplyDeleteEnergy? Laughter? I say: "Woo-hoo! Success!"
